The County Groundsman Association are running a Spring Workshop at 3 venues entitled “Pace, Bounce and Carry”. Depending on the venue it will last either 3 or 4 hours, in a relatively informal setting. Each workshop will be led by our ECB Pitch Advisor(s) with some specific content to be delivered around best practice but also regular opportunities for clubs to put forward their own questions.
We’ve opted for this method in 2017 having run a number of the formal Institute of Groundsmanship courses over the last few seasons. Not only does it bring down the annual cost for clubs who want to train their groundsmen but it also allows experienced groundsmen to stay “in the loop” and learn from the experience of others.
